Homemade Hot Cocoa

I had a hardcore hankering for hot cocoa.  To the pantry, pushing the Raisin Bran and mixed nuts to the side, looking for hot cocoa.  Wooo hoo!  There’s a canister of cocoa!  Hmmmm…I wonder if cocoa expires.  Awwwww, crap.  March 15, 2013.  I should probably do a pantry clean-out…

[scratches head]

Pish-posh, I can make my own.

I had un-expired unsweetened cocoa powder, sugar and milk.  Hot cocoa was in my hands, on the couch in 5 minutes…well, 10 minutes actually, because I took pictures.  The full printable recipe is below, ready for you, your couch, your comfy sweater and fuzzy slippers.

Instructions

  1. Mix 1 Tbs unsweetened cocoa powder with 2 tsp sugar (more sugar if you like it sweeter) and a dash of salt in a mug.
