Fried wontons stuffed with blue cheese and BBQ beef.

- 1 lb beef stew meat, chopped
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1 tsp steak seasoning
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 1 cup water
- 48 wonton wrappers
- 4 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
- frying oil (vegetable, canola)
Instructions
- Rub the stew meat with paprika, salt, and steak seasoning and allow to marinate at least 20 minutes.
- Next, place the stew meat in a pressure cooker with 1 cup of water and pressure cook on high for 25 minutes until the beef pulls apart easily.
- Remove beef from the pressure cooker, shred and place in a bowl with 1 cup of BBQ sauce and toss to combine.
- Place 1 wonton wrapper on a work surface, place a tsp of shredded beef and BBQ sauce in the middle of it along with a generous pinch of blue cheese. Follow package directions to fold the wonton into a star shape by pinching in the 4 sides.
- Heat oil in a pot at least 1 inch deep to 375F and then drop in wontons one at a time with up to five in the pot at once, turning occasionally until golden brown all over.
- Serve with drizzled extra BBQ sauce and diced green onions.
