Description
A hard glaze for using on sugar cookies that works well with edible markers.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups powdered sugar (sifted)
- 2 Tbs milk
- 2 Tbs light corn syrup
- additional milk
- optional lemon extract
Instructions
- Sift powdered sugar into a large bowl
- Add in 2 Tbs milk and 2 Tbs light corn syrup and mix until smooth, adding in 1 tsp at a time of milk until desired consistency is reached.
- tsp of white food coloring (yes, that’s a thing, I use the one by Wilton) can be added to make it super white
- Lemon extract can be added for flavor.
- Spread onto cookies, make sure to keep it a thin layer, otherwise it will not fully harden when it dries.
- Allow to dry overnight before using markers on them.
