Bacon Jam Salad Dressing

Bacon Jam Salad Dressing

They told me at Trader Joe’s that this bacon jam goes on everything.  Everything?  Really?

Trader Joe's Bacon Jam

Since posting this video to YouTube, lots of folks have shared their favorite ways to use this.  My favorite suggestion being on a grilled cheese sandwich with caramelized onions.  Oh yeah!  Unfortunately, the kids weren’t big fans.  We did a taste test and Blaise was not impressed.

One of the surprising things about this dressing was the tangy flavor.  Obviously, it tastes like bacon.  But, it also has a sweet, tangy zing from apple cider vinegar.  I can see using this in deviled eggs, too.  Now, that’s got me thinking!  Or perhaps on a bruschetta?  Let me know if you’ve used this stuff in some creative way.  I’d love to hear about it!
