I had un-expired unsweetened cocoa powder, sugar and milk. Hot cocoa was in my hands, on the couch in 5 minutes…well, 10 minutes actually, because I took pictures. The full printable recipe is below, ready for you, your couch, your comfy sweater and fuzzy slippers.

Simple hot cocoa.
Ingredients

- 1 Tbs unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 tsp sugar
- dash of salt
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions
- Mix 1 Tbs unsweetened cocoa powder with 2 tsp sugar (more sugar if you like it sweeter) and a dash of salt in a mug.
- Boil the water and slowly stir into the mug by a tablespoon or so at a time so it becomes a thick and chocolatey. Add in the milk (or eggnog if you’re feeling dangeresque) and top with whip, mallows, whatever suits your fancy.
