Mr. Simon LOOOOOOOVES ham. Â When I told him I was working on a holiday slow cooker glazed ham recipe, he flipped. Â But, bear in mind, that means the bar is set HIGH. Â He has high expectations for a super juicy, nicely seasoned, glazed ham. Â This recipe? Â Fully approved with the phrase, “we should have been doing ham like this all along!” Â Yes, my dear, and now we will.
Slow Cooker Glazed Ham
One huge thing to keep in mind before attempting a slow cooker ham, though, is to make sure the ham you buy will fit in the size of slow cooker you have.  I have a 6.5 Quart All Clad slow cooker, which accommodates a nine pound ham just fine.  But, my Mom’s vintage Crock Pot only holds a five pounder.  So, just bear in mind that size matters here.
But, once you’ve solved the size problem, the rest is easy. Â It’s only FIVE ingredients. Â The ham goes in the cooker with a cup of unsweetened pineapple juice, for that signature festive holiday pairing. Â Then, combine the remaining ingredients: Â pineapple preserves, country style dijon, Worcestershire and brown sugar and stir until it’s all mixed up. Â Then pour it all over the ham, cover it, and set it on low for five hours. Â Then let your house start to smell amazing.
After five hours, remove the ham and place it on a cutting board, ready to be sliced up. Â Then, transfer all of the juices left in the slow cooker to a pot on the stovetop and heat it over medium high heat until it’s simmering. Â Let that simmer do it’s thing and reduce the juices to a nice syrupy glaze. Â Then, pour the glaze over top of the ham, slice and serve.
And that’s it! Â 5 ingredients, 1 ham and a table full of happy people.
